The Council of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution recently drawing the attention of the Postal authorities to the delay in handling the mails from the steamer Maitai, and making suggestions regarding improvement. < A raply was received, and read at yesterday's meeting of the Chambar, from the secretary of the General Post Office, thanking the Chamber for having pointed out what it had done, and promising to attend to the suggestions made. The members present yesterday remarked upon the uncommon compliment paid to them from such a source.
