HOCKEY.
GLENGARRY v. EKETAHUNA. One of the. poorest games of hockey witnessed in Masterton this year was played yesterday bdtween teams representing the Eketahuna and Glengarry Ladies' Clubs. The latter team includeu Misses O. Richards (Huia), K. O'Leary (Garry Owen), 1. Mckenzie (High S.hool) M. Collins (.Garry Owen) and G. Dalrymple (Hum). There was a flash of fairly brilliant play now and again —but very raiel>\ The game was spoilt somewhat on account of the off-side play of one or two home players, which appeared to escape the notice of the referee. Though Glengarry won by 5 goals to 1, the game was a closer contest than the scores indicate. In the first spell Misses Richards (2), O'Leary and Dalrymple scored for Glengarry, and Miss Anderson for Eketahuna. In the second sp.ll the only score was a goal hit by Miss O'Leary. Mr J. Gray was referee.
