HANDICAP RIFLE MEETING.
GOOD ENTRIES COMING IN.
The executive committee of the | Handicap Rifle Association, which w 11 hold its inaugural meeting at Fairview on Thursday, are highly satisfied with the number of. entries so far received, which total over sixty. It is anticipated that the meeting will see a gathering of over seventy riflemen on the range, including some well-known mark*men. Th* executive, in order to encourage young shots, have decided that a liberal allowance will be given to such in the handicapping, and some interesting shooting will eventuate. There has been a great deal of improvement effected at the range, at which three new targets have been erected, making five in all. This will enable the shooting to be carried on with greater expedition, and as efficient markers have been engaged the heavy day's programme should be gone through in good style. The first match will commence at 7.30 sharp, and given a fine day a most enjoyable meeting should be the lot of the Club for its initial effort.
