WANGANUI TRAINING NOTES.
WANGANUI, September 21. It was a lovely morning, and the tracks were in splendid order. There were several interesting gallops. Wimmera galloped five furlongs alone at a dipping pace. Anemone ran a solid mile; and then Lamsdorff and Golden <iate had a spin over a mile, the latter being well in front at the end. The,time was lmin 45sec. Husbandman appeared to better advantage than Inchbonny over five furlongs, the last f6ur taking 52 seconds. All Red (Jenkins), Diabolo (G. Price), and Taitoko (Olliver) ran a mile together on the course proper in order to teat the state of the going at the bend into the straight, where it has been re turfed. The track was rather bare "of grass, and soft, but the gallop satisfied trainers and jockeys that the going will be very good and that there will be no need to race on the training track, an was suggested. The trio were together throughout, finishing in line in lmin 49sec. Exmoor shaped much better than Waimarie over the schooling hurdles, and Xavier was much too good for Moose, the latter jumping poorly. Dusky Morn, Singor and Guiding Step were given useful work on the plough, the two former looking particularly well. Irish Rifle galloped a mile in taking style. Silver Lead went two circuits at solid pace. Crucinella, Daisy Paul and a number of others did useful work.
