There are indications that the stoppage of the mills in Lancashire will not be protracterl. .A cablegram yesterday morning Sjtated that the operatives spinners at Manchester had accepted the masters' terms, including the proposed reduction of wages by 5 per cent. The refusal of the cardroom workers to accept the reduction paralysed the other departments. Consequently the mills closed on Saturday, rendering idle 150,000 men.
