NEWCASTLE COAL. SYDNEY, September 19. It is considered unlikely that the Newcastle coalowners will raise the price of coal when next month they make an adjustment of the price for the coming year.

A HUGE SUNFISH. STEAMER DAMAGED. SYDN&Y, September 19. The steamer Fiona struck a huge sunfish weighing two tons off Bird Island. One propeller became embedded in the fish, and could not be freed. The vessel came into* Sydney partially disabled.

RECENT COLLISIONS. SYDNEY, September 19. As a result of a recent collision between the Colac and Pareora, the court has suspended the certificates of Captain Joliffe, master of the Colac, and Captain Downie, master of the Pareora, for six months. In the case of the Suva-Hero col lision, the court found that it had been caused by the master of the Hero (Captain Bjprkman) going below without having a proper look-out, and Mr Murphy, second mate of the Suva, improperly porting the helm. \ The court called upon both to show cause why their certificates should not be dealt with.
