STATE CONTROL OF ORCHARDSPRAYING.

State control of orchard-spruying is desired by Mr J. T. Hogau, M.P. for Wanganui, who consider.-? that liardships are now imposed on many small orchardist* who have not the means or the necessary, knowledge of methods of spraying. He is asking the Minister for Agriculture whether he will make the fullest enquiry into and carefully consider the advisability of the State taking into its own hands the spraying of all orchards in the Dominion, and charging owners a pro rata amount according to acreage or the number of trees.
