"SOMERSAULTING."
UNIONS AND INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES ACT. AN EXPULSION PROPOSAL. Received September 18, 10.11 a.m. SYDNEY, September 18. The Trades and Labour Council, by 82 votes to 15, negatived a proposal for the expulsion ot unions which, against the previous lecommendation of the Council, had registered under the Industrial Disputes Act. The discussion on the proposal showed the existence of strong feeling between the two sections, an accusation of somersaulting over the question being made on the one hand and attempting to split the Council on the other.
