There had been since 1900 a decrease in capital in connection with ithe Canadian wool production of £720,000; a decrease in the number of hands employed of 2,200; and a decrease in the annual value of the products of £320,000. He appealed to Canadians to insist on an increase in woollen duties in order 'to prevent the extinction* of the industry.
