"THE MAY QUEEN."
At the rendering of "The May Queen" by the Choral Society, patrons will have an opportunity of hearing: a Scottish contralto of except otial richness and c. 1 v; tion in the person of Miss Clara Kobson. The "Methodist Times," in a report of; a recent Scots concert at St. James' Hall, London, states: "Miss Robson sang with a richness of brogue that won the hearts of her countrymen from the outset, and throughout sang with that clear enunciation and artistic sense for which she is always so distinguished." Miss Robson will, in addition to singing the Queen's part in the choral work, render two songs, "Caller Herrin" and "Darby arid Joan " A souvenir programme, with photcs of the distinguished visitors and words of the Pastoral, will be handed to the audience. Popular prices are to be charged, and intending patrons are advised to book their seats early.
