MULAI HAFID WANTS RECOGNITION. Received September 14, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, September 13. Mulai Harid, in a Note to the Powers, stated that he recognises the engagements of his predecessors, notably those under the Algeciras Convention. He requests recognition, in order to carry out reforms under that convention.
A GERMAN SET BACK. Received September 14, 9.31 p.m. MOROCCO, September 14. Mevassi has succeeded Erimiki as Kaid at Alcazaar. The appointment proves that Dr Vassal's endeavours to favour Erimiki failed.
