THE HOLIDAY QUESTION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 12. To-day Sir William Steward introduced a deputation of members of Parliament to the Hon. McNab with a request that the Public Holidays Bill should be amended in the direc T tion of making Easter Satjrday a compulsory holiday. This, it was pointed out, would give four clear days for the Easter encampments. To meet any objection lo the increase of holidays the deputation suggested that the three Saints' days, St. Pat rick's, St. George's and St. An drew's should be obliterated from the list of public hoildajs. The Minitt:r promised to bring the representations before Cabinet.
