THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
The Congregationalists of Masterton are to be congratulated on the fact that they are opening a splendid new Church on a fine site almost free of debt. The small amount remaining unpaid, about £2OO, will not be a serious burden to the Churoh if it were never paid, and the City friends of the new Church deserve the thanks of Masterton for the generous way they have contributed towards the Building Fund. The dedication ceremony yesterday was an auspicious affair, and the Church has a bright prospect before it. The Rev. A. Hodge, who will be inducted on Sunday, is a very capable Minister, and waa extremely popular in Dunedin. A new manse is the next "target" of local Congregation-
alists, and already there are indica- r tion's of willing support being ac- s corded to this movement from Wei- j lington sympathisers. J _ (
