LADIES' TOURNAMENT. A WIN FOR WAIRARAPA B. (By Telegraph—Special Reporter). WELLINGTON, September 9. The Wairarapa B-Wellington B match was played at Day's Bay today,Wairarapa winning by one goal to nil. The game was an interesting one, and the visitors were attacking moat of the time. Erratic shooting lost several chances. In the first spell there was no score. Early in the second spell good line work and centreing by Mies Richards enabled that player to score the only goal of the match. Misses Dagg, Richards and O'Leary were the pick of the forwards, and Misses La Roche and Harris were the best backs. Owing to Canterbury withdrawing, Wairarapa A had another bye. The protest entered by Nelson against the Wairarapa A's win has bsen decided in favour of Wairarapa, although a second match may have to be played between the teams. The drawing of the fixtures and general arrangements are causing a great deal of dissatisfaction among visiting teams. To-morrow's games are rs follow:—Wairarapa A v. Wellington B; Wairarap.i B a bye. Hawke's Bay have practically won the Cup. Hawke's Bay beat Wellington A by four goals to two. A match will be played in Masterton on Wednesday next, between Masterton and Wanganui ladies' teams. The Mastertcn team will be selected to-morrow evening by Messrs J. B. Rue and B. Iveson.
