WOOL-CLASSING.

The director of the Christchurch Technical College reported to the board of Governors at the last meeting that, in order to maKe the training given in the handling of wool at the college more complete, he proposed to invite farmers to send to the college the wool from their early clips, which would soon be available, and to allow the classes to prepare it for market. In this way the classes could treat, if necessary, twenty bales a week. The work would afford excellent practice for the students, and the increased value of the wool would easily compensate the farmers for any extra trouble or expense incurred by them. The Board expressed approval of the suggestion.
