CARTERTON.

(Own Correspondent). The annual concert, in aid of the funds of the Dalefield School, was held in the Dalefield Public Hall on Friday evening. There was a very -large audience, and a number of visitors from Carterton attended .and contributed to the programme which was of a very high merit. At the close «>f the concert programme -dancing was indulged in until an -early hour in the morning, to music •supplied by Misses Foss, Stanton, Saver, Neilson, C. and G. Berrill, .Messrs Dudson and Pulsford. The Carterton police are vigorously ■ putting a stop to cyclists riding their machines on the footpaths. On Friday evening several residents were • caught in the act, and will probably be called upon to answer tho charge at the next sitting of the Police Court.
