Mr S. Mawley (Ditton) reports as follows:—The rainfall at Ditton for July was 8.26 in. The maximum fall in 24 hours was 2.49 on 6th. The rain;fall for August was 2.70. The maximum fall in 24 hours was .59 on August 17th. BY TAIiKOBAPII—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-morrow Moderate to strong northerly winds with fine weather at places north ward of Napier and New Plymouth, but from the westward elsewhere, probably with rain.
