GISBORNE HARBOUR.
BY THLEQftAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. GISBORNE, September 4. The report'of Mr Leslie H. Reynolds, C.E., on the proposed outer harbour scheme was received to-day. After consideration of the scheme drawn up by Mr Marchant, C.E., and an amendment thereof proposed by Coode, Son, and Matthews, the English engiuoer*, Mr Reynolds approves oi thi? jcciib'ty Reeled, bul recommends a larger harbour capacity than the other engineers have plain.ed, in order to allow vessels to manoeuvre in bad weather, and to reduce the range. He approves ol bubble formation, but increases the estimate of expense, and sets down thejjeost of an enlarged harbour at £570,730.
