RAILWAY EXTENSION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. A deputation from the KimboltonApiti Railway League waited upon the Minister of Railways (the Hon. W. Hall-Jones) to ask for an extension of the railway service t:> Kimboltou and Apiti. The Minister, in the course of his reply, said that next year would be a convenient time to consider the matte •, as some four or five lines now in hand would be completed. The case made out by the deputation would be brought before Cabir.et.
