SHEEP STEALING.
By T.-legra^h—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Sept 2. At the Supreme Court, to-day, G. Robertson wa3 sentenced to nine months imprisonment for sheepstealing. The jury recommended clemency on the grounds of strong temptation. The Judge said that in no circumstance whatever should probation be granted in the ease of she J p-steal.li \ which offence was a curse to the country.
