DANTE CELEBRATIONS.

ROME, August 28. The committee in charge of the Dante relebrations at Ravenna have invited Kina Emmanuel of Italy and the Pope to participate. The Pope has subscribed £4OO to the organisation fun:!, and will flend a representative to the celebrations.

Dante, the famous Italian poet, was born in May, 1265, and died at Ravenna on September 14th, 1321.
