LATE FOOTBALL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 27. The following Rugby team has been selected to represent Wellington against Canterbury, on the Athletic Park, on Saturday :—Full-back, J. Ryan ' (Petone); three - quarters, Matheson (Oriental), Mitchinson (Poneke), Evenspn"(Athletic); Fiveeighths, Magee (Poneke), McLeod (Oriental); half-back, Roberts (Oriental); forwards, Ready (Petone), Hamilton (Melrose), A. C. Wilson (Wellington), "Rangi" Wilson (Athletic); Rush (Poneke), McKellar (Wellington), Alexander (Old Boys); wing forward, Avery (Old Boys). Emergencus—Back, Green; forward, Shadbolt. O'Brien, Tresize, Dewar and Hardham were not available for selection, as they had all been injured during the late Northern tour. The following team will represent the Masterton 111. against St. Matthew's Bible Class, to-morrow:—H. Simonson, Osman, E. Simonson, Yates, Johns, Hanley, Rayner, McHattie, Fly, Billington, Dixon, Catt, Wellington, Dean, Munn; emergency, Iggulden.
