A NEW RAILWAY STATION.
By Telegraph. —Press Association. GORE, August 12. The Minister for Lands, to-day, opened the new railway station at Riversdale, erected at a cost of £2,000. ! In a speech, the Minister quoted figures showing the great growth of railway traffic. On the Invercargill section the revenue in 1898 was £144,960, and in 1907-8 £264,337 outwards, with a corresponding increase inwards. Afterwards the Minister was entertained at a banquet by the residents. Riversdale will be the junction for the Switzers railway.
