CORONATION CONGRATULATIONS.

Sir Joseph Ward cabled to the Secretary of State on Saturday congratulations to His Majesty on the anniversary of his Coronation from the Government and people of New Zealand. He received the following reply to-day.— "His Majesty has received with pleasure the congratulations of the Government and people of New Zealand, and commands me to thank them." The Department of Industries and Commerce has received cabled advice fion its * Melbourne ascent stating that a butter famine exists in Victoria. B.itter is being sold at Is lOd per lb wholesale and the market is rising. The cable also states that there is a great demand for fat cattle, there bting practically no cattle fat for market in Victoria.
