NEW RUSSIAN DECREE.
SALE OF ESTATES. Received August 11, 8.13 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, August 10. The Hohenlohe-Wittgenstein estates at Vilna have been sdKI, owing to a Russian decree that owners must become Russian subjects or sell. The owners offered the estates to the Government for £700,000, but the Government valuer estimated the value at £150,000. The estates were eold privately for £430,000. The estates came into possession of the Hohenlohe family about 1848, through the marriage of Prince Hohenlohe with the Princess of SaynWittgenstein.
