BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. SYDNEY, August 8. The report of the Australian Jockey Club shows that the revenue for the past season totalled £79,345, an excess of £I,BOO over expenditure. The added money for the coming seaton will total £40,350. Received August 9, 9.50 a.m. MELBOURNE, August 8. The Steeplechase, to-day, resulted as follows:—Nigel 1, Bribery 2, No Trouble 3. There were fifteen starters. Won by ten lengths. Time, 7min 59}3ec. Cardinal broke down and came last and had to be shot.
