MT. HOLDS WORTH.
Midwinter ascents of Mt. Holdsworth promise to become rather popular with hardy young alpiners. The climb is not a hard one if undertaken after three succeeding hard frosts, as the Snow becomes frozen, and the track firm. Mr C. Bannister, the well-known Mt. Holdsworth authority, advises that climbers in winter should not attempt under any circumstances to take "short cuts," but should stick to the ridges. To do otherwise is to considerably lengthen the trip, and possibly court disaster.
