AN AUCKLAND SENSATION.
CHINESE QARREL. ONE SERIOUSLY INJURED. BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Augusts. A boy returning from Mt. Roskill School yesterday afternoon, looked into a cottage occupied by two Chinese market gardeners—Ah Jiug and Louie Yang. He saw Ah Jing stre'ehed out on the floor, with a gun beside him. When investigation was made. Ah Jing was found in bed, fully clothed, with an extensive wound in the abdomen, the flesh being seared so much that it was evident he had been shot at close range. The wounded man * asserted that Louie Yar.g shot him. Apparently there was a tierce struggle, the Iwl being covered with blood, the curtains torn down, and a stream of blood culminating in a pool where Ah .Ting fell. aii Jing said the quarrel arose owing to much talk caused by Louie ¥ang lying in bed while the other worked. "There was much talk," hi added; "we fight; he lied." Ah Jing is in the hospital, and his condition is very critical. Louie Yang was arrested this morning at. Panmure. He had one hand badly cut.
