MORTALITY AMONG YOUN i LAMBS.
GISBORNE, August 6. _ A heavy south-easterly gale is raging, with a high sea. There is r.o sign of the-Union Company's Flora, which was due this morning en a special trip to take excursionists to Auckland for Fleet week. The storm is proving Revere on young lambs, and a good deal of mortality is reported.
GISBORNE, August 6. A heavy gale has been raging all day. Tremendous seas are running, and vessels are unable to anchor in the bay. The Union Company's steamer Flora and the Tyser Company's liner Nerchana put out to sea. The *crmer will probably leave for Auckland in the morning if the weather moderates. The Mokoia has not yet arrived from Auckland; but is expected at any moment.
