CARGO BROACHING.
irr tklkcitvrn —i-kesk association. DUNEDIN, August 6. Frederick Board was charged at the Police Cuurt to-day with broaching cargo on the steamer vVaimate,while on the voyage from London to New Zealand. The accused, who was a ship's carpenter and therefore a petty officer, whose special duty was to look after the safety of the ship's cargo, was sentenced to four months' imprisonment, and ordered to forfeit £S of his wages.
