WIDTH OF STREETS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 4. A discussion took ploce at the Municipal Conference regarding the provisions in the Public Works Act regulating the width of streets in cases of subdivision of land. It was resolved that ♦,hese provisions should be so amended as to provide that exemption be allowed and conditions imposed at the absolute discretion of the local authority.
