FIRE AT LORD BRASSEY'S SUSSEX SEAT.

Received August 3, 11.25 p.m. LONDON, August 3. A fire, originating in the kitchen, on Sunday afternoon, destroyed the eastern fart of Normanhurat Court, Lord Brassey's Sussex seat. Though many fine works of art and treasures collected on the Sunbeam voyages were saVed, many were destroyed. After five hours the fire was extinguished. Lord Brassey, while directing/the operations of the firemen from the roof of the house, had a narrow escape ffrorn falling into the debris. A large house party assisted to rescue the treasures.
