At a largely attended meeting of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce the following resolution was passed, with one dissentient:—"That this meeting places on record its disapproval of the principles established by the award of the Tramway Commission, viz., that an employer of lab )ur has not the same right of dismissing an employee as the latter has of quitting the employers' service, which the meeting considers a dangerous and undesirable principle."
