CLEARING SALE.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held a successful clearing sale of dairy stock, on behalf of Mr J. F. Matthews, Kaiporora, yesterday. The cows on the whole were in good condition, and although the attendance was not large, were well competed for, buyers from Pahiatua and other districts being prominent. We quote:—Sound cows, coming to profit in September, made up to £8 10s—-the herd averaging £5; heifers made from £2 12s 6d to £4. Breeding sows, £3 to £3 10s. Small spring dray, £l4.
