Heaves' successor as High Commissioner in London, sa'id:—"You may give emphatic denial to the statement that I intend to take the High Commissionership. W. Hall-Jones, who it io stated has definitely decided to resign his Ministerial 1 rank aftnr the election, but who is said to be unwilling to go to London; Mr T. Mackenize, whose seat has been wiped out by the Boundary Commis sioners, and who was Trade Commissioner in London for three years; and Messrs Donne and Tregear.
