A RACE ?E RUN.
Received July 27, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, July 26. Halwsell (ofr'Britain) ran over the 400 metres (437.2yd5) course, 1 but the two Americans declined to re-run the race.
According t:> a cablegram published yesterday morning there was a great sensation over the running of the final in the 400 metres race. Carpenter, the American, bored and elbowed Halswell (Britain) almost off the track, and the judges broke the tape, and declared i the' race void. They subsequently disqualified Carpenter, and ordered the other three men in the final to race on Saturday in strings.
TWO RECORDS.
Received July 27, 8.30 a.m., LONDON, July 26. Smithson, tha American, won the 110 metres (120.2ydd) hurdles, in 15 tec, establishing a record. I Cooke and Gilbert (Americans) won the pole jump with a record of 12ft 2in. *

THE NATIONS' WINS.
- Received July 27, 8.10 fliffl.'■ LONDON, July 26. There were 35,000 persons'present in the Stadium to witness the presentation of prizes. Quten Alexandra distributed gold medals to the winners, who also received sprigs of Windsor forest oak, tied with Union Jacks, from the King. . Dorando has completely recovered. He was given an ; overpowering reception when Queen Alexandra presented him with a cup. The Olympic results so far are:— Britain .. £8 United States ~ 22 ! Sweden -- 7 France -> 4 Hungary .. 8 Germany .. 2 Canada .. 2 Italy ..2 Belgium .. 1 South Africa .. 1 Finland :. I
