WELLINGTON RACES. BT TEX.EO-RAPH—PfiKSS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, July 25. The Wellintgon winter meeting was concluded in fine weather to-day. There was a large attendance. The sum of £15,964 passed through the totalisator, making £36,705 for the meeting, as against £52,031 last year. The Club received £1,236 10s in lees from bookmakers. Full Cry was disqualified during the pleasure of the stewards for inconsistent running. The enquiry was further adjourned until Friday next, and the persons concerned have been notified to appear at the Racing Club's office. Results:— Onslow Handicap. Aboriginal, 1; Rangipapa, 2; Durat, 3. Also started—Truce, Golden Gate, Wharekura, Tupono. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 21 3-ssec. Croi'ton Hack Handicap.—Skye, 1 ; Sandstream, 2; Vasa, 3. Also started Rangihaeta, Spinning Flight, Monkey Puzzle, Cavatina, Truthful. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 38 l-ssec. Third Hack Hurdles.—lmmolation, 1; £Ghoorka, 2; Jolly Roger, 3. Also started—Top Rose, Strachcona, Hatley, Sherlock Holmes, Cyrus, Oakbourne. Won by a nose. Time, 2min 58sec. July Steeplechase.—Loch Fyne, 1,; Tilson, 2; Lingerer, 3. Also started.— Le Beau, Bullvvorth, Valima, St. Amelia. Won by a length; a gooti third. St. Amelia baulked. Time, smin 58 2-ssec Winter Oats Handicap—California, 1; Maharanui, 2; Landwern, 3. Also started—Sir Frisco, Wailethe, Com* adian, Merrie Zealand, Chief Lochiel, Kurawaka, Mussel. Won by two lengths; a good third. Time, lmin Final Hurdle Handicap—Letherin, 1; Snip, 2; Scotty, 3. Also stared —Compass, Sen Sim, Ability, Exmoor, Defeat. Sen Sim was left at the past and took no part in the race. Compass fell at the second fence and brought down Defeat. Exmoor fell at the hurdle at the back of the course. Won by two lengths. Time, Smin 29sec. Kia Ora Hack Handicap.—Silkweb, 1 ; Royal Maid, 2; Yosami 3. Also started—Flint Gun, Glentui, < Glen. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 24sec.
