MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
MEETING OF MANAGERS
The managers of the Masterton "Technical School met last evening "There were' present:— Messrs E. . Feist (chairman), W. H. Jackson, J. . B. Keith and E. H. Waddington. The Treasurer's report showed a • credit balance of £llß 4s lid. The Otago Education Board lorwarded particulars of the cost of the parts of the sample desk forwarded by them at the managers' request.— It was decided ti thank the Board for .the trouble it had gone to in the . matter. The Borough Council notified the making of the usual grant of £25 towards the School.—lt was resolved to thank the Council for the same. The Chairmna of the Hastwell .ScJool Committee wrote asking if the managers would establish dressmaking classes at their school in connection with the Masterton Technical .School. On the motion of Mr Jackson it to reply that the class will be started if the Education Board approved and satisfactory arrangements can be made with the in- , structreis. Mr C. E. Daniell wrote submitting £1 lis as the price for the woodwork cf a desk, the ironwork for which to be supplied by the managers. —The offer was held over. It was decided that the secretary make inquiries to ascertain if a suitable person will accept the position of instructor to the wool-classing class. It was decided to procure another sample cits'; of the design by Mr La Trobe, of Wellington, and to ask Mr La Trobe if he would give the managers the right to U3e his design. Accounts amounting to £8 6s were passed lor payment.
