STANDARD OIL COMPANY.
A FINE QUASHSD. Received July 23, 10.2 p.m. LONDON, July 23. The United States Circuit Court of Appeal quashed the twenty-nine million dollars fine imposed on the Standard Oil Company, and ordered a re-trial of the case. The Court held that Judge Landis committed iiregulaiities, and was wrong in basing the fine on the wealth of the parent company instead of on the capital of the Standard Oil Company of Irdiania.
