Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Wellington,x have received the following cable messages from their London House under date of the 16th inst: Batter. The Copenhagen official quotations. 3 kroners (about 3s 4&d) psr cwf higher. The total imports o£ butter into the United Kingdom for week ending 11th inst. amounted to 'Js,ooocwt., as compared with 83,000cwt for the corresponding weeii of 1907; showing an increase of 12,000ewt. Market steady and there is no change h respect of demand for unsalted. Prices for Colonial butcer are unchanged. Frozen meat.—Th'3 maiket has a declining tendency. The m irket fjr frozen mutton and lamb is quiet, and 'any change in prices is in favour of buyet-3. It is vary difficult to effect sales of frozen beef at lower priced, viz., J 1 to Jd peV lb.
