Messrs Levin and Company, Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's sale: —We held our fortnightly sale on Friday, offering 25 bales wool, 2.000 skins, 450 hides, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool. —There was good competition, and buyers operated with more confidence at advanced prices in accordance with better tone in London. We quote:— medium crossbred, 4d to sfd; inferior, 2d to 4cl; lambswool, 4d 'to 3d; pieces and locks, Id to 2d; good crutchings, 4d to 4|d; medium crutchings, 3d to 4Jd; seedy and inferior, 1& to 2|d. Skins.—Market showed an advance of £d for all classes. We quote—Fine crossbreds, 4J to s|d; crossbred, 4d to 4fd; dead skins, 2d to 3£d; dead hoggets, 2 I to 3£d; dry pelts, Id to 3d; lambskins, 3d to sd; green pelts, 2s to 3s 4d ; green lambs woolly, 2s to 3s 4d; gceen lamb pelts, Is to 25.. A fair quantity of crutchings was offered, and prices showed an advance on last sales. All classes of skins were sold at prices in favour of sellers. Sheepskins—Crossbred, crossbred shorta, 3|d to 4|d; dead and inferior and damaged, ljdto 3Jd; lambs, 3d to 4d; damp, sound pelted, j! to 3s 8d each; inferior pelted, and short in wool, Is lid to 2s lOd each; butchers, green, 3s 6d each; salted skins, crossbred short, fine wools, 2s 8.1 to 3s; full woolled, 2s to 3s 6d; lambs, salted, Is 2d to 2s Gd. Hides. —No prime heavy offering. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report: —At our sale on Friday we offered good catalogues, and have to report a hardening market fur wool and skins, with a weaker tendency in hides.—We quote: wool, good bright crutchings, 3fd t\> 4Jd; medium 2Jd to 3d; seedy crutchi2|d to 2|d; dead wool, 4d to 4Jd; locks, ljd to 2d; lambs, medium, 4d to 4£d.
