A WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
LONDON, July 17. The Rev. John Scott Lidgett, M.A, the President, in inaugurating the Wesleyan Conference at York, urged the Church to realise the spiritual 'significance of world-wide federation. He rejoiced that the Licensing Bill embodied all the conference's demand, and believed that with good sense and good will they would be able to settle the education controversy.
