THE HAWKE'S BAY SEAT,

NAPIER, July 13
Mr G. Spencer Clapham, candidate for Hawke's Bay seat, addressed a meeting oi electors at Hastings tonight, and declared himself a supporter of the Government. The senior member of the Hastings Borough Council, took the chair, as the Mayor of that town (Mr T. J. Thompson) is himself a candidate. There was a large attendance, and Mr Clapham received a vote of thanks and confidence.
