LITHGOW IRON WORKS
SYDNEY, July 11. The Messrs Hoskins, proprietors of the Lithgow works, which were recently closed down, declare that the people ot Lithgow need not have fears as to the ultimate success of the iron industry. The firm will use every effort to make it a success.
EXPORT OF VICTORIAN RABBITS. MELBOURNE, July 11. The export of Victorian rabbits during the last six months decreased by two millions and in value by £50,000.
COURSING. MELBOURNE, July 11. The Waterloo Cup was won by Nichols' Ella Goldsmith, O'Dwyer's Invergonion being runner-up. The Purse was won by O'Hwyer's Keivinyet, Buckleyn's Black Cherry being runner-up.
