MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.

The adjourned ordinary meeting of the Mauriceville County Council was held on Saturday last. There were present Crs F. W. H. Kummer (cnairman) J. T. Heckler, C. Churchill Jackson, H. J. Dagg, E. J. Perry and C. A. Wall. The Sanitary Inspector, in his monthly report, directed attention to the defective drainage at the Hastwell Creamery.—lt was resolved to furnish the Uairy Company with a copy of the report, and request compliance with the Inspector's suggestions. Mrs C. Carroll wrote stating that she was willing to start metalling on Mangamahoe Road, provided Mr J. Anderson wag ready to heglp. The Clerk was instructed to endeavour to procure an estimate for the supply of 500 cubic yards of crushed metal, and also to see whether a further supply of boulders can be got from the Railway Department. It was resolved to allow an applicant for charitable aid 15s weekly in rations until further notice. The Overseer reported that with Mr J. Anderson's assistance about 4).) yard3of matal had been put on the Mangamahoe Road. The Overaser was directed to confer with Cr Heckler regarding repairs to the bri Ige on Mangaoranga Road. Accounts amounting to £222 5s 7d were passed fiir payment. The next meeting will be held on the 25th July.
