MADAME GOULD AND PRINCE DE SAGAN.
MARRIED IN LONDON.
Received July 8, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, July 7. Madame Gould and Prince De Sagan were married, the civil marriage being performed a 4 a Strand registry office, and the religious ceremony at a French Protestant Church in Soho.
Madame Anna Gould, daughter of the late Jay Gould, the famous American millionaire, is a woman with a matrimonal history. She was married some years ago to v Count Boni de Castellane, of Paris, to whom she had several children. She obtained a divorce from the Count two or thref years ago, and has continued tc reside in Paris. The Prince de Sagan (son of the Duke of Talleyrand) is cousin to the Count, and had been paying his attentions as a suitor to Madame Gould for some time past. The relations between him and the Count have been grealty strained in consequence, and early in January a "scene" occurred bey tween the two The Count and the Prince had been attending a Requiem Mass in a fashionable Paris church. The ex-husband, after the service, followed the Prince outside, where he spat in his face, and knocked him into the gutter. He then continued to attack him in an infuriated manner, kicking him and trampling upon him, until they were separated 133 the bystanders, who interfered to prevent a continuance of the affray. Practically there was no affray, as the Prince, a much smaller man than the Count, did not resist. The Cuiint, in striking at the Prince, cried: "These are the New Year's gifts my children send you."
