The House met at 2.30 p.m. The Premier gave notice to move to-morrow for the setting up of a Committee to consider the erection of new Parliamentary Buildings. Mr W. T. Woo'i asked if the Premier would enlarge the scope of enquiry,, rto enable the Committee to consider sites outsiae of Wellington, and, suggested Palmerston North as suitable. Mr G. Laurenson said that he thought Wellington was unsuitable for cue official capital city of the Dominion as it was too congested.

The Premier, in reply, said that the Committae was not set up to recommend a change of Beat of Parliament, but if they thought necessary they could undertake the task, but it would cause very great delay. As to the removal from Wellington that question might have been discussed 25 years ago, but with the heavy recent expenditure carried out here in the construction of various Departmental Buildings it was now too late. The Meiklu Acquittal Bill and Incorporated Societies Bill were passed through Committee. In the New Zealand So-icty of Accountants Bill the number of years an accountant shall be in business before being entitled'to be registered was reduced from five to three years! An amendment providing for leave to appeal against the board's decisions was carried. The bill was still under discussion at 5.30 p.m. The House met at 7.30 o'clock. The Zealand Accountants Bill passed through Committee. The House went into Committee of Supply at 8.25 o'clock, when the' Colonial Treasurer began to deliver his Financial Statement. The time occupied in delivery was an hour and 25 minutes. The Premier moved that the Financial Statement debate be taKon m Tuesday. v This was agreed to. Mr Massey complained that several returns neceaesary to enable them to intelligently discuss the Statement had not been brought down. The Premier said that it would be best to bring these down before the debate was taken. ( The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1905 Amendment Bill was introduced snd the second reading, pro. forma, set down for tomorrow.'' The Premier announced that he was prepared to go on with the Loan Bill on Thursday. The House adjourned at 9.C0 o'clock.
