OLD AGE PENSIONS BILL

In the House of Commons, during discussion on the Old Age Pensions Bill, the Right Hon. D. Lloyd-Georgo, Chancellor of the Exchequer, against the united votes of Labourites and Unionists, withstood an attempt to include deserving outdoor paupers in the list of those entitled to old age pensions.

The Select Committee of the House of Commons reported in favour of the Daylight Saving Bill, which proposes to advance the clock by one hour upon the third Sunday in April, and alter it in the opposite direction an hour on the third Sunday in September.
