STOCK MARKET.
(By Telegraph—Special to Age). PAHIATUA, June 30. Messrs Abraham and Williams and lha New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. stock sale?, to-day, the attendance was poor, and consequently prices fell. Full-mouth-ed ewes in lamb brought 6s 9d, empty ewes 6s, 2-tooth wethers 10s (these were poor-conditioned), fat wethers 15s 3d, medium lambs 4s 3d, cows in calf 40s, heifers 32s 6c 1 , store cows 30s, mixed yearlings 10s. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report as follows: —We held a very good sale at our Taratahi yards yesterday (Tuesday June 30th). , The yarding was fully up to advertised numbers, and buyers were from all parts of the district, and practically every lot was sold. We quote:— 2, 4, 6, and £-th ewes, 13s to 14s; i.x'.m. ewes, 14s to 15s (these lots were in good condition); failing mouth ewes, 10s: cull ewes, in backward condition, 5s 6d to Bs. Wetliers were keenly competed for, and sold frrm lis 6d to 15s; lambs, 5s 3d to 7s 3d. There was a small yarding of cattle, but bidding was dull and very liftle business resulted. Our next sale will be held on Tuesday, July 14th.
