METEOROLOGICAL.

Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Tuesday was 4 points. Rain fell on the Upper Plain on 22 clays in June. The n asimum fall in 24 hours was 34 points on the 25th, and 31 points on the 24th. The minimum fall was 1 point on the 6th, 23rd and 26th. The total for the month was 1.94 inches,, as 4.93, 9.36, 3.08, 5.36 inches in June, 1904, 1905, 1906, and 1907. The total for the current six months was 14.56 inches, as against 20.41, 24.21, 23.41, and 35.15 inches 'during the corresponding period in 1904, 1905, 1906, and 1907. Average for the [same period, 25.79 inches. Consequently the fall for the first half of the current year is 11.23 inches less tnan the average. BY TKLKUJKAI'U —I'IiKHS ASSOCIATION.
